Oktoberfest at Embarcadero Park 2017

Oktoberfest at Embarcadero Park

Generally held in the month of October, Oktoberfest is a beer-drinking “Volksfest” or “people’s celebration” that originally began 206 years ago, in Munich, Germany. Oktoberfest began as a major horse-racing event, but even from the beginning, the tastings of various beers and wines was a part of the festival. Music, food & dance also quickly became integral parts of this community tradition. Although we would be surprised to see any horses at Oktoberfest at Embarcadero Park this year, we do expect it do be a great time!

Today, Oktoberfest is celebrated in many countries around the world. The events are attended by 6 million people annually in Oktoberfest’s birthplace of Munich, Germany, over 1 million people in Kitchener & Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, and nearly a million in Blumenau, Brazil. Oktoberfest events in the United States regularly exceed a half-million party-goers.

In the party City of San Diego, there are several independently-hosted events to celebrate Oktoberfest. In this post, we are specifically covering Oktoberfest at Embarcadero Park, which caters to a younger crowd than some of the other San Diego Oktoberfest events.

The 2017 Embarcadero Park Oktoberfest event will be hosted by Five Marketing & Management, Inc., d.b.a. Five Group, a San Diego outfit; the event itself is marketed as the “Horizon Oktoberfest”. Within the first 5 seconds of the current promotional video for Oktoberfest at Embarcadero Park 2017, an iconic, young, gorgeous, brunette can be seen twirling around, drink-in-hand, as her large hippie breasts bounce up-and-down, followed by other various party-goers enjoying beer tastings, dancing, and savoring the weather & atmosphere of America’s Finest City in the fall.
